Sony confirms sensor-on-lens technology for Xperia V

Sony Mobile has confirmed that the 4.3-inch Xperia V will come with sensor-on-lens touch screen technology. Much like in-cell display technology, it removes the sensor layer which is integrated into the lens resulting in a lighter and thinner phone (as there is one less layer of glass) along with better image quality and a ‘direct touch experience’.


Better image quality is achieved through the one less layer of glass and glue in the handset stack, meaning that there is no interference from that component. Sony says that by removing this single layer, it would typically improve the display luminance by around 5%.


Removing a layer also brings the image plane that much closer to the user making you feel as if you are touching the image itself. Another benefit Sony points to is that the image on the display and the point of touch are brought that much closer resulting in less parallax issues.


Overall, it sounds like a great piece of technology and reaffirms our view that the Sony Xperia V is the real new flagship from Sony Mobile. As far as we understand, the Sony Xperia T/TX does not include this technology and we have reached out to the company for a confirmation.

Tablet purchase entitled for LHDN Income Tax relief?

It is tax filling month and most people would like to save as much as possible through tax relief incentives. One of such tax relief is for computer purchases made every 3 years which entitles you a relief up to RM3,000.

In this day and age, tablets such as iPads, Galaxy Tabs, Transformer, Xoom & Playbook have been gaining popularity. So are these new devices entitled for such tax relief?

According to someone who have asked, LHDN has replied:

                  if the tablet computer only have computer features and is for home and family use only, then it
                  will be treated as “computer” and is entitled to the personal income tax relief of up to RM3,000,
                  claimable once in 3 years.

So this means, tablets including iPad are included in the tax relief as long as it is for personal and not for business use. However there’s another condition, it must not have any mobile phone features. If the tablet allows normal mobile calls and sends text messages, you’re not allowed entitled for this relief. Sorry Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Tab 7.7 and Galaxy Note users.

So currently the safest option is if you purchased an iPad, Playbook and WiFi only Android Tablet. To be extra sure, it is best to double check with the folks at LHDN. Who knows they might expand the definition again.

Nokia's new PureView ad is amazing, too bad it's FAKED! Just saw this news in pass week ago, is this really a fake Technology? I also not sure on it, just wait Nokia launch in your Country & then you can explore your own. But, really hope it is a real Technology was built in it too. Let's watch the Movie below:


In the mean time, Nokia Apologizes for Lumia 920 PureView Fake Commercial advertise. "Nokia Apologizes For Faking Lumia 920 PureView Ad, According to The Verge, the new Nokia ad features a man taking a video with the Lumia 920 while riding his bike. The ad was supposed to demonstrate the camera's great optical image stabilization. And the video in the ad does look great. But if you watch the ad closely you can see the reflection of a camera van riding next to the bikes. So yes, the video shows great video of two people riding their bikes using optical image stabilization. But no, the video doesn't actually show the capabilities of the PureView Lumia 920. Nokia issued an apology on its website, writing: "In an effort to demonstrate the benefits of optical image stabilization (which eliminates blurry images and improves pictures shot in low light conditions), we produced a video that simulates what we will be able to deliver with OIS.... We should have posted a disclaimer stating this was a representation of OIS only. This was not shot with a Lumia 920... We apologize for the confusion we created."
